CAOG Project and Website Public Launch
:. The
Community Advocacy on Gambling Project, which began in March of 2006, will
hold its official launch on Friday, 13 October 2006.
With the project aim being ‘to give voice to, support, advocate,
and build community capacity to participate in environments of decision
making so that a balance of views can be brought to advancing community
views on gambling in Victoria’, the project launch will provide an
opportunity to update those attending on the activities of the project
so far, and the project vision for the coming year.
:. The project
launch will also coincide with the launch of the project’s website
which has been developed over the last few months, and which will remain
a ‘work in progress’. The website aims to provide its visitors

as providing access to useful information in regard to gambling in Australia,
Victoria, and in Local Government areas.
